OPEN AIR MUSEUM "СТАРО СЕЛО" SIROGOJNO ZLATIBOR
The project encompasses a several week program of music concerts and interactive and interpretative music workshops in order to revive the Museum exhibitions and the study of traditional music as part of the intangible cultural heritage. At the summer stage of the Museum, the audience will be presented Serbian performers of traditional and classical music. Museum visitors will be able to see and hear concerts of the performers of traditional and classical music from Užice and Zlatibor region.
Within the revival of traditional economy, the Museum will display activities related to work in vegetable and flower gardens, fields and orchards. Visitors will be able to see and actively participate in cultivating vegetable gardens and planting vegetables that are typical for Zlatibor Region (beetroot, radish, beans, garlic and onions, etc.), as well as selenium, basil, marigold and geranium in gardens that are in the Museum complex.
Educational workshops imply revival of methodology, curricula and models of learning and education in rural schools with special emphasis on primary school from Sirogojno, its history and development. At the same time, through workshops, children will understand the attitude of the society towards education and obligations, as well as the phenomenon of free time in the past and its use through old games that they will learn.
